Carl Kenly Edwards holds a B Sc. in Agribusiness Management from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. He is a trained Cochran Fellowship Alumni, (2019) awarded by the USDA on the US Regulatory Food Systems hosted by Kansas State University, Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) (2018) and a HACCP certified trainer from the prestigious International HACCP Alliance (IHA) (2016), sponsored by IICA. Mr. Edwards is currently the CSA Coordinator attach to the SAEP Program and current Chairperson (Ag) of the Grenada Country Forum with the Caribbean Extension Providers Network (CAEPNet). Mr. Edwards’s professional development and experience is diverse and spans over 25 years in the field of manufacturing, agro processing, and agriculture with emphasis on food safety and supply chain management. Through his professional development he was fortunate to travel countries such as Chile and Argentina through agencies such as IICA, USDA, CODEX, and BSTF, European Commission. These seminars and workshops were instrumental in enabling him to further develop the requisite skills and knowledge as a food safety practitioner. Mr Edwards has a keen interest in promoting the advancement of food safety in the agri-food sector.
