Setting up a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Training

 The Small Business Enterprises training course was completed by GSETRI over a three-month period between January to March 2024. The three-part training course was managed by each of the trainers. The areas covered during this training were:

- Setting up and operating a small business with a fcous on agriprocessing- this moldule focused on giving the participants the foundational tools need to succesfully set up a small business. It helped participants conceptualize where they are currently or help them understand the basic requirements for turning a business idea into a thriving small business. Here the participants identified what business idea they would present on at the end of the training.

- Capacity building for effective SBE management.

- Effective Marketing for Smallholder farmers wanting to set up SBE.

- Development and presentation of the business plan

Additionally, at the end of the course modules the participants were encouraged to develop and present their business plans.

 

As part of CAEPNET’s capacity building initiative, the Seamoss Cultivation Training was held virtually in June 2023. The training outlined the fundamentals that seamoss producers as well as members of technical support agencies must be equipped with where the proper cultivation of seamoss is concerned.
